Situated on the beautiful Isle of Islay, just six miles from Port Ellen and 8 from Bowmore, this detached, single-storey house has outstanding views across the island and towards Laggan Bay and Ireland beyond. Islay is known as ‘The Queen of the Hebrides’ and is the southernmost island of the Inner Hebrides, with a dozen sandy beaches, several historical sites and an abundance of wildlife. Famous worldwide for some of the finest malt whiskies in the world, and a popular destination with birdwatchers. Local activities include golf, diving, pony trekking, fishing, stalking, cycling and walking, as well as a swimming pool and leisure centre.
About Moorburn Cottage Bed and Breakfast
We have two very well appointed rooms for Bed and Breakfast in our very peaceful and quiet detached cottage, situated amidst stunning moorland. We can be found around 500 metres off the High Road and our house is accessible through a very well maintained track which is also suitable for low vehicles.
